Bio

I believe in God, only I spell it Nature. ~Frank Lloyd Wright, quoted, 14 August 1966

I am only one; but I am still one;
I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;
and because I cannot do everything,
I WILL NOT REFUSE TO DO THE SOMETHING I CAN DO.
(attributed to Helen Keller)

I'm no expert on walking lightly on this planet.
But I love to share the things I'm doing.
Also post what others are doing that inspire me to work harder to make me and my family's lives simpler and greener ..

Mundane things about me :
I'm married to a wonderful understanding man who has turned into the Recycle Man!...
I have two grown children who have not been raised green but I hope to inspire them to work toward living green..for their sake ... we all live in Middle TN...

My dream?
To live on a small sheep farm w/ chickens and Corgies.. living simple and sustainable.

Spiritual wise.. I'm many and all things..
As I've gotten older I've decided to stop putting labels on my faith and just let it be what it is..

Political.. I'm a Liberal with a gun...

"The plain fact is that the planet does not need more successful people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these qualities have little to do with success as we have defined it." -David Orr, Ecologocial Literacy

Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest."
Mark Twain

"Help me to find my happiness in my acceptance of what is my purpose:
in friendly eyes; in work well done; in quietness born of trust, and,
most of all, in the awareness of your presence in my spirit."
-- Alistair MacLean, "Hebridean Altars"
